The Public-Private Desk (PPD) was established to provide technical support to the Economic Development Council (EDC) in executing its mandate. The PPD is situated at the Office of the Prime Minister and therefore reflects the importance of the partnership with the private sector. The PPD is comprised of an Executive Director, a Project Coordinator, a Project Officer, a Communication and Administration Officer and serves as the secretariat for the EDC.

The scope of work of the Public-Private Desk includes, among other things:
1.  Stakeholder Engagement: the inclusion of all stakeholders on Business Climate issues.

2.  Project Management support

3.  Policy design and advice

4.  Enabling private – public dialogue

5.  Reform tracking and support
