Project Coordinator

Kenny Chan

Kenny Chan is the Project Officer in the Public Private Dialogue Unit (PPD) with a strong background in public policy, local economic development, and inclusive, community-based programming.  He holds a Master's degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, equipping him with both analytical and social perspectives essential for designing and supporting effective development interventions.  His academic and professional foundation is complemented by formal certifications in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and Agile methodologies.

Mr. Chan brings extensive hands-on experience working with government entities, international organizations, and civil society groups. His professional portfolio includes roles with the World Resources Institute, the International Organization for Migration, the Julian Cho Society, and local government authorities. Across these roles, he has supported policy research, data collection and analysis, project implementation, and results reporting, with a consistent focus on climate resilience, local economic development, gender, and social inclusion.  His work has contributed to improved program delivery, strengthened monitoring frameworks, and effective stakeholder engagement at both community and institutional levels.

At the Economic Development Council Secretariat, Mr. Chan supports the coordination and implementation of development initiatives by applying his skills in research, project monitoring, and stakeholder collaboration.  His experience working with diverse partners, combined with his multilingual capabilities and commitment to evidence-based decision-making, enables him to effectively contribute to the Council's mandate of fostering sustainable, inclusive, and regionally balanced economic development in Belize.
